Meet the Brewers at Dungowan Brewery

meet jeff

Jeff’s journey into brewing began with his background in hospitality and a growing interest in craft beers. He’s passionate about creating unique pale ales, especially with fruity flavours. What he loves most about working at Dungowan Brewery is the chance to escape his usual Duty Manager role at CH and dive into something creative. Plus, the views from his ‘office’ are hard to beat!

Outside the brewery, Jeff keeps active with sports like soccer, basketball, and stand-up paddleboarding. If he could have a beer with any historical figure, it’d be Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam. Jeff’s brewing tip for home brewers? Be prepared and organised. For him, Dungowan Brewery is simply exciting.

meet DAVE

Dave’s brewing adventure kicked off about nine years ago when a chat with the head brewer from Mudgee Brewing sparked his passion. He started all grain brewing about six to seven years ago, and now, he’s excited to be part of Dungowan Brewery. Dave loves crafting pale ales and enjoys the entire vibe of the brewery, especially after his desk-bound office days. A memorable challenge for him has been transitioning from small to large batch brewing.

When he’s not brewing, Dave is involved with the Tamworth Rugby Club, gardening, and tinkering with electronics. If he could share a beer with anyone, it would be John Palmer, a brewing expert, or David Gilmour from Pink Floyd. His tip for homebrewers? Stick to your recipe and be consistent. For Dave, Dungowan Brewery is just awesome.
